Give the Ultimate Christmas gift
At this special time of year, when we focus on giving and sharing, what better way to make a difference than by giving the gift of mentoring to a child in your community?
One Hour | Once A Week | One Life
Give the gift of mentoring this Christmas.
$200 to sponsor a match for one-month.
- Give a child a friend and support person for the Christmas period.
- Build support around a child that is missing a positive role-model in their life.
- Create a long-term impact by helping a child build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
- Make a difference by connecting a child with opportunities they wouldn’t have otherwise.
Give the gift of mentoring for one-year.
$2,400+gst per year is all it takes to fund a child to have a mentor for 12 months. This is $57.50 per week to support a child with mentoring and wrap-around support.
It includes:
Intake (vetting, interviewing, and training of the mentor, mentee, and their whānau).
Monthly supervision for the mentee and mentor to ensure the safety of all parties and provide support and encouragement to increase the longevity of the match.
Support for the whānau where needed and the opportunity to work alongside other social services to provide referrals and connections to address challenges or difficulties.
Providing match events and fun activities throughout the year.
Opportunities for connection, personal development, and enjoyment for mentors and mentees.
Donation vs Sponsorship: Donations are tax-deductible as BBBS Auckland is registered with the New Zealand Charities Commission (CC55643). As a sponsor you are entitled to a promotion by BBBS this requires gst to be covered.

“The Lightspeed team relished the opportunity to use their annual paid Volunteer Day for a great cause. The kids proved to be extremely talented as coders and entrepreneurs. It was inspirational to meet the amazing mentors and a treat to spend time with Lily and Xonique, and also Trelise and Shannae, the mentor/mentee Match sponsored by Lightspeed for the first and second halves of 2024. We’re thrilled to give back to our community and in particular to help ignite the potential of young people through community-based mentoring.”
